Eddie Vedder's 'Twin Peaks' Song Revealed

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Aug 31, 2016

We already knew that David Lynch's Twin Peaks had roped in a series of high-profile musicians like Trent Reznor, Sky Ferreira, Sharon Van Etten and Eddie Vedder for its upcoming new season, and now, the latter's involvement has become a little clearer.

The Pearl Jam frontman has contributed a song titled "Out of Sand" to the star-studded show. Vedder wrote and recorded the track specifically for Twin Peaks, and it has now been revealed that the song is also the bonus record booth single included with Pearl Jam's Third Man Records vault package.

It is unclear if the version recorded with Jack White at his Third Man Records studio in Nashville is the same version that will appear in Twin Peaks.

Regardless, fans can get intimately acquainted with the tune thanks to a new post from fansite Pearl Jam Online. They've shared the lyrics to "Out of Sand," which you can peruse below.

Live footage of the song in question has also cropped up online. Watch Vedder perform the tune at this past weekend's  (August 27) Ohana Festival in Dana Point, CA.

The Pearl Jam: Live at Third Man Records collection is currently available to Third Man's Platinum Vault subscribers. Twin Peaks is expected to return to the small screen in summer 2017.
