Elegeions third release belongs somewhere on a line connecting Morgion and Antimatter, interspersing doom-laden metal and harsh male vocals with a little virtuosic guitar soloing, and the organic, breathy warmth of female vocals, piano, cello and violin. With an atmosphere of wrist-slashing melancholy and sorrowful beauty, The Last Moment slowly weaves onward from its opening chords, making the odd jazz, folk or progressive twist along the way. The journeys a rewarding but divergent one, shifting in and out of focus until it settles into a powerful, brooding close.
