Elephant Stone Line Up The Glass Box EP, North American Tour

BY Greg PrattPublished Apr 23, 2010

Montreal power/psych poppers Elephant Stone have announced that they're following up last year's Polaris Music Prize-nominated debut album, The Seven Seas, with a new EP, set to be released on May 25.

The Glass Box will be released on vinyl and digitally through Elephants on Parade Records. The five songs on the EP were recorded on a vintage Neve console (which was, ahem, apparently used by Led Zeppelin while they were recording Physical Graffiti, according to a press release) to a 16-track, two-inch tape machine at Montreal's Breakglass Studios.

Two songs from The Glass Box, "Strangers" and "Savage Soul," are streaming now at Pardon My Hindi's website. Pardon My Hindi designed the art for the EP; check out some photos from the shoot here.

To support the EP, the band will be touring North America in the spring, doing some headlining shows and some with Brian Jonestown Massacre, who now kinda somewhat get along, then head out for their first European tour in the summer, then more North American touring in the fall with the Besnard Lakes.

We'll put the Jonestown dates below to get things started; keep your eyes peeled here for a complete listing of the rest of the gigs once they're announced.

Elephant Stone also have a new video for "I Am Blind" off of The Seven Seas. Check it out below.
