After releasing debut EP Recovery earlier this year, Toronto/Hamilton indie rockers Elephants and Stars have shared their third video tied to the effort, a black-and-white study of a daily commute to accompany the record's "A Lifetime."
The song and video "try to colloquially describe what it is like on a day to day basis for someone struggling with anxiety or depression," according to the band's Manfred Sittmann.
"Sleep becomes your most valued asset but ironically it can sometimes be the most elusive thing," he explained. "Basically, you just kind of ride out each day the best you can and hope that the next day is a bit better."
After a chance meeting with Ron Hawkins of Lowest of the Low, the Canadian songwriter went on to mix and record Elephants and Stars' Recovery at Toronto's 55 Below Studio, in time for the band to release the EP earlier this summer.
Having debuted the record in June, Elephants and Stars have now released three videos to accompany the EP's five tracks, including "Another Bullet" and "End This Life." They'll share a video for "All You Have Is Gone" on October 23 and another on October 30 for "The Light That Shines."
