Variety.com reports that famous hobbit and upstart record label CEO Elijah Wood will play the role of Iggy Pop in an upcoming biopic.
Directed by Nick Gomez (of Drowning Mona fame/shame), The Passenger will follow the early years of Iggy and the Stooges as they rose to infamy in the late '60s and early '70s Detroit music scene. The veiny one himself has reportedly said he will not take part in the project, but has given his blessing to the filmmakers.
