Ahead of the arrival of her sophomore album Progress Bakery later this month, Toronto singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Eliza Niemi has announced a co-headlining Canadian tour with Advance Base, the solo project of Chicago's Owen Ashworth (f.k.a. Casiotone for the Painfully Alone).
The joint venture will bring the artists to eight cities across five provinces this spring, beginning with an Ontario leg at the end of April. Niemi and Ashworth will play Hamilton's Into the Abyss (April 26), the Garrison in Toronto (April 27) and Ottawa's Club Saw (April 28) before a couple of Quebec dates in Montreal (April 29) and Quebec City (April 30).
From there, the musicians head to the East Coast, where they'll wrap the brief tour with single-province stops in Fredericton (May 1), Charlottetown (May 2) and Halifax (May 3). Tickets are on sale now. See the full itinerary below, as well as the music video for Niemi's drivingly deadpan, whimsical latest single "DM BF."
