This fall, Amy Lee and the guys in Evanescence will return with their first album since 2006's The Open Door. Their upcoming self-titled third album won't be released until October 11 via EMI Music, but in the meantime, you can exclusively stream a brand new track from the long-player called "My Heart Is Broken" at Exclaim.ca.
The new Evanescence record was produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Rush, Deftones) and, according to a recent press release, features a different approach with the whole band taking on more songwriting responsibilities.
"I showed them more trust, and they didn't disappoint me," Lee said of her bandmates in a statement. "They got fully involved and gave the music a new kind of energy that made it even more interesting in the end."
Listen to "My Heart Is Broken" below to hear what the band have been working on for the last five years and how that new energy comes across. The stream will be only available for 24 hours.
UPDATE: Exclaim!'s stream is no longer available but you can listen to it below via YouTube.
