Ex-Jawbreaker/Jets to Brazil Front-man Blake Schwarzenbach Reveals Thorns of Life

Ex-Jawbreaker/Jets to Brazil front-man Blake Schwarzenbach has leaked more details on his new musical project, which he’s now dubbed Thorns of Life. After disbanding Jawbreaker back in 1996 and Jets to Brazil in 2003, Schwarzenbach appears to have come out of retirement for band number three and joined up with Crimpshrine/Pinhead Gunpowder’s Aaron Cometbus on drums and bassist Daniela Sea, who’s formerly played in Gr'ups and Cypher in the Snow, as well as starred in the Showtime series The L Word.

Via a Facebook message, Schwarzenbach recently said: "I can say only that it's loud and tender and we're called the Thorns of Life. Whether it's more Jets-esque or Breaker-like, I honestly don't know; it sounds like a storehouse of fond hatred from the last few years and in the now."

Thorns of Life recently played their hometown of Brooklyn and have several more shows expected near their home base. However, no more details are available on what we can expect from Schwarzenbach and co., and if they will be entering the studio anytime soon.

In related news, Jawbreaker are set to reissue their much-loved 1990 album Unfun, as we previously reported. No release date has been confirmed yet for this release.
