Wild Flag/Helium veteran Mary Timony has wasted no time following up her previous bands' ending points, kicking off a new group called Ex Hex. Now, Timony's new project has shared "Hot and Cold" from the group's upcoming full-length.
The song is a guitar-heavy pop anthem, combining a measured amount of fuzz and grit with Timony's melodic vocals. It's a winning formula, and one that has us looking forward to the band's debut album.
Check out "Hot and Cold" below.
Ex Hex's full-length debut has yet to receive a firm due date, but "Hot and Cold" will appear on an upcoming 7-inch arriving via Merge Records on March 18. The single will include the B-sides "Waterfall" and "Everywhere."
