● Doctor Who: Series 1-7 Limited Edition Blu-Ray Gift Set (BBC Home Entertainment)
Doctor Who was always emblematic of the cultural gap between England and North America — beloved in the UK, perpetually ignored Stateside. Then Christopher Eccelston stepped out of the TARDIS when the show was rebooted in 2005 and everything changed. This massive set collects all seven series from the program's 21st century revival. Add in various specials and a replica sonic screwdriver, and this is the best way to celebrate 50 years of time travelling goodness, and prepare to welcome 12th Doctor Peter Capaldi.
● Attack of the Bs (FCE)
Seventies grindhouse and exploitation films have gotten most of the attention lately, but directors like Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez wouldn't have their muse without trails blazed by these B-movie classics. This new 18-movie set includes legendary schlock like Bucket of Blood, Little Shop of Horrors and should-of-been seasonal favourite Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. Also included is Ed Wood's Plan 9 from Outer Space (pictured above), considered by many to be the best/worst movie of all time.

Before there was Spinal Tap, there were the Rutles. A Beatles parody created by Monty Python alum Eric Idle, the fake band went on to star in the mockumentary All You Need is Cash, co-produced by Saturday Night Live guru Lorne Michaels with a cameo from George Harrison. Its 2004 sequel The Rutles 2: Can't Buy Me Lunch, which apes the Beatles' own crate-digging '90s Anthology series, is also included in the set.
