Faith No More

"Superhero" / "Epic" (live on 'Last Call with Carson Daly')

It took 18 long years for Faith No More to follow up Album of the Year with their newly released Sol Invictus, so consider yourself lucky it only took a month for footage captured at an April gig in Los Angeles to pop up on Last Call with Carson Daly.

Last night's (May 19) late-night premiere showcased a pair of in-concert performances filmed at Los Angeles' Wiltern venue. First up was Sol Invictus single "Superhero," which had the band once again cranking out a mix of hard-chugging, corrosive licks and moody piano passages, while vocalist Mike Patton served up croaks and cries about the "leaders of men."

Digging deep into the archives, the band also performed their first big hit, "Epic." As you'd expect, it homed in on pre-rap rock rhymin' and big metal riffs, with keyboardist Roddy Bottum chiming in alongside Patton to deliver the iconic chorus of: "You want it all but you can't have it."

You can see both live performances down below. As previously reported, Faith No More have North American dates booked through the summer, including a stretch of shows with Refused. You'll find their schedule in full over here.
