Vancouver synth-pop pair Fake Tears are almost ready to roll out their debut album Nightshifting, but before it arrives, Exclaim! is pleased to premiere a brand new track from the forthcoming LP.
"Night Box" follows the previously shared "Second Wind" and further showcases the duo's appreciation for retro keyboards and eerie electro-pop vibes. A press release promises that the album delivers a steady stream of "haunting, buzzy synths and angelically soaring harmonies," and "Night Box" definitely makes good on that deal.
Equal parts sparkly and spooky, it's a synth-pop earworm that is sure to keep spinning in your head, even after the stream cuts out. Additionally, Fake Tears will be bringing that infectious energy to the live stage for a hometown album release show at the Lido on August 15.
Nightshifting is due out on August 7 via Mint Records, but to help tide you over until then, you can give "Night Box" a listen in the player below.
