Being from the metropolis of Brandon, Manitoba, these three pranksters never hid the fact that most people would consider them wacker than wack. This lack of pretension worked for them, because if they tried to front otherwise they would have just looked foolish. DJ Tyler “Boba Fatt” Sneesby cast sparse, languorous, old school grooves underneath MCs Pat “Wicked Nut” Skene and “Roddy” Rod Bailey’s tales of alien abductions and teenage sexual mishaps. They probably reached their largest audiences through incongruous opening slots for Canadiana art-rockers the Rheostatics, with whom Sneesby collaborated several times; here the Rheos’ Martin Tielli returns the favour on the previously unreleased “Treheme.”
