Father John Misty has returned with a pair of new singles — his first original material released in two years. Today, he has shared "To S." and "To R." on Sub Pop, for the label's Singles Club Vol. 5.

The artist born Josh Tillman recorded the double A-side tracks at Fivestar Studios and Funky Monkey Soundhaus NoHo in Los Angeles. Dave Cerminara and the Haxan Cloak are credited as producers.

Physical editions of the 7-inch are available exclusively through Sub Pop's vinyl subscription service.

The songs mark FJM's first studio recordings since 2018's God's Favorite Customer. Earlier this year, Tillman shared a covers EP called Anthem +3 as a part of Bandcamp Fridays. Back in March, he released a live album titled Off-Key in Hamburg, which also served as a benefit record released through Bandcamp.
