Fefe Dobson has been teasing her new album for a minute, and has already planned a Canadian tour for the fall — and now she's finally announced a release date, shared alongside new single "I CAN'T LOVE HIM (AND LOVE YOU TOO)."

EMOTION SICKNESS is due September 29 through 21 Entertainment. It's the singer-songwriter's first album since 2010's Joy.

Dobson and producer Sam Arion recorded part of the album at one of the artist's favourite Toronto haunts, the Fairmont Royal York Hotel. Press materials describe Emotion Sickness as a return to her earlier albums and a "celebration of finding independence and leaning into having a good time." It includes previously released singles "HUNGOVER," "FCKN IN LOVE" and "Recharge My Heart."

"I wrote this song when my relationship felt like it was at a bit of standstill and I was craving that rush you feel when [you're] first starting to fall in love," Dobson said of the latest single. "It's that feeling of being torn between letting go of one relationship and really committing to a new one."
