After re-releasing their first five albums earlier this year, UK indie-pop royalty Felt will now continue their reissue campaign by doing the same with their final five LPs.
On September 14, Cherry Red will press up reissues of the band's Forever Breathes the Lonely Word (1986), Poem of the River (1987), The Pictorial Jackson Review (1988), Train Above the City (1988) and Me and a Monkey on the Moon (1989). And yes, that means they are all coming back to vinyl.
Like with the first batch, the reissues will arrive as deluxe vinyl packages, as well as CD box sets and digitally. It marks the first time in decades any of the albums have been officially pressed on vinyl.
All the albums have once again been remastered by Felt frontman Lawrence himself, with the help of Kevin Metcalfe.
This batch of reissues noticeably features Felt's output on the famed Creation Records. In fact, over the years label head Alan McGee has even maintained that Forever Breathes the Lonely Word was his favourite album ever released on Creation.
As a press release states, "With these albums Lawrence should at last be able to step up and take his rightful place amongst the high priests of attitude and cool."
