Fennesz Concert with Tony Buck and David Daniell Gets Live Album Release

When he's not creating some of the most breathtaking, forward-thinking soundscapes in his distinctly minimalist style, guitarist and electronics guru Christian Fennesz routinely teams up with his contemporaries for equally fantastic live collaborations. One such performance took place at Knoxville, TN's Big Ears Festival in February of 2009, where Fennesz joined composer David Daniell and drummer Tony Buck. Now the performance will now be released in album form courtesy of Thrill Jockey.

Simply titled Knoxville, the collaborative effort includes four new tracks and comes with the cover above. Little else is known about the album, but we're guessing it will be chock full of abstract compositions.

Thrill Jockey will release Knoxville on August 24. Some footage of Daniell's solo work at the same festival is available below.

Knoxville:

1. "Unüberwindbare Wände"

2. "Heat From Light"

3. "Antonia"

4. "Diamond Mind"
