Fever Ray, the ultra-creepy project helmed by the Knife's Karin Dreijer Andersson, have been having a pretty fantastic year. Besides releasing the project's beloved debut album, which we said, "boils down the Knife to its purest electro/organic form," Fever Ray have also dropped a flurry of excellent singles, not to mention some downright frightening videos to go along with them.
Next up on the docket is the fourth single from the album, "Seven," which will be getting released on twelve-inch and digitally in the UK on October 5 via Rapid/Cooperative. Hopefully, it will get some sort of domestic release, otherwise you'll have to import the vinyl or cop the MP3s. Either way, the EP sounds promising, with remixes from Crookers, CSS, Marcel Dettmann, Martyn, Nic Chacona, Real Daniel and Seth Troxler.
Besides the single, Fever Ray will also be reissuing the project's full-length as a deluxe version that will include covers of "Been Here Before" (originally by Vashti Bunyan) and "Stranger Than Kindness" (originally by Nick Cave and Anita Lane). The disc will also come with a bonus DVD that includes all of Fever Ray's music videos, including a new one for "Seven."
