No matter how you look at it, it's a pretty sweet time to be into the Feelies. Not only has the über-influential '80s outfit recently reunited and hinted that new material is in the works, but now they are set to get some much-deserved reissue treatment.
Come September 8, Hoboken, NJ's Bar/None Records will reissue the Feelies' first two albums, 1980's Crazy Rhythms and 1986's The Good Earth, which in our humble opinion stand as two of the finest slabs of jangle pop ever put to tape. Both will come pressed up as deluxe packages on vinyl and CD, and come loaded full of bonus material such as B-sides, EP tracks and new liner notes penned by Jim Deragotis and Jim Sullivan. Also, according to the Stranger, the re-releases will contain digital download cards that will feature new live recordings from the reunited band.
There are no tracklistings yet to fill us in on what exactly will be included in the bonus material, but the records will coincide with the Feelies' September show at All Tomorrow's Parties, where they will do the Don't Look Back thing and play Crazy Rhythms in its entirety.
