Riverfest Elora began as a simple backyard festival in 2009, back when it had just two performers. It's since expanded into one of Ontario's premier summer music festivals, with big-name acts spread across three days on the banks of Elora, ON's Grand River.

The gorgeously situated festival continues to grow in 2024, with a lineup that spans big-name international acts and Canadian indie faves. Running from August 16 to 18, tickets are on sale now. Here are five must-see acts performing at this year's festival.

Bully
There are few if any rock singers with a howl as spine-tingling as Bully's Alicia Bognanno. Last year's Lucky for You was largely inspired by the death of her beloved dog — whom she must have really loved, based on the beautiful ferocity of the songs.

Fleet Foxes
It's been 16 years since Fleet Foxes released their debut LP, and Robin Pecknold's career has continued to unfold patiently, with a catalogue that has grown increasingly ambitious and expansive without losing the folk rock prettiness that was his initial calling card.

Corb Lund
Riverfest Elora's third and final day takes a country-leaning direction, with acts including Josh Ross, Mariel Buckley and Nicolette & the Nobodies. Of course, don't miss Canadian cowboy Corb Lund, who will be bringing his rustic new album El Viejo to the stage. Yeehaw!

NADUH
A self-proclaimed girl group, Vancouver five-piece NADUH bring a cast of personalities à la Spice Girls to their self-produced hip-hop tunes. It's an inventively modern, DIY spin on a classic pop setup.

Sudan Archives
Cincinnati songwriter Sudan Archives explodes every preconception you might have about the violin, with stunning 2022 album Natural Brown Prom Queen incorporating the instrument into an exploratory patchwork of hip-hop, R&B and pop bangers.
