Since they can't seem to stop recording new material, prolific pop weirdos the Flaming Lips have turned the one song they recorded for Enders Game into a full EP inspired by the sci-fi story. Now, we get a taste of that release with "Assassin Beetle - The Dream is Ending."
The 10-minute track uses Wayne Coyne's vocals sparingly, with only a few sections featuring singing at all. Other than that, it's a constantly evolving composition with a ton of atmosphere, the occasional busy drum beat and an array of unique samples.
