The Flaming Lips didn't bring their confetti-and-hamster-ball schtick to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, but their stage setup in support of The Terror is every bit as psychedelic and weird. The band performed "Try to Explain" from that record, along with a cover of David Bowie's "'Heroes.'"
The performance found Coyne standing on stilts in tight silver pants with no shirt on and tentacles draped around his body. The stage, meanwhile, was decorated with silver orbs and spinning lights as the band played the creepily meditative "Try to Explain" and the far noisier "'Heroes.'"
