No stranger to weird and wonderful collaborations with the likes of Miley Cyrus, Kesha and more, Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne has found himself a new musical friend in Mac DeMarco with the announcement of a split EP.

In an Instagram post, Coyne revealed that the release will feature his band covering three of DeMarco's tracks, while "the Mac DeMarco afternoon delight ensemble" will cover three from the Lips in turn. Coyne's announcement included a clip of him working on Mac's "Chamber of Reflection," which you can find below.

DeMarco and the Flaming Lips co-headlined a series of shows in May of this year. The former released his This Old Dog LP in May, while the Flaming Lips delivered Oczy Mlody at the top of the year.
