Almost four years on from the release of Floor's massive retrospective box set, the reunited Floridian stoner-pop crew are now giving their self-titled debut the reissue treatment.
A press release notes that the band, whose Steve Brooks also plays in Torche, are teaming up with Robotic Empire to deliver an expanded vinyl edition of Floor on February 4. The record had initially been issued by No Idea in 2002.
On top of the album's "incredibly deep-tuned doom rock, sing-along harmonized vocals, bombastic rhythms and pop sensibilities," the package will contain a bonus 7-inch featuring three outtakes recorded during the album sessions. These tracks had previously appeared on 2010's Below & Beyond box set, which also arrived via Robotic Empire.
On the packaging side of things, Floor will be housed in a full-colour gatefold jacket, with the lyrics and never-before-seen photos pressed onto the inner sleeve. A deluxe edition will be pressed on coloured vinyl and come with an article on the album from Decibel, as well as a sticker and a patch.
Along with looking back to their past, Floor reunited for more tour dates in 2013, signing with Season of Mist for a yet-to-be-announced new studio album.
