Florence and the Machine

"Jackson" (ft. Josh Homme)

For one of the odder musical pairings in recent memory, British baroque pop songstress Florence Welch teamed up with Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme to cover Johnny Cash and June Carter's classic "Jackson."

The tune was recorded for Florence and the Machine's upcoming MTV Unplugged session, which airs on MTV April 8 and will be released as an album on April 10 via Universal Republic. The country twang of the original is replaced by Welch's trademark voice, while Homme delivers a more subdued performance than we're accustomed to.

Listen to the duo perform "Jackson" below.
