Flying Lotus' new album You're Dead! included a collaboration with Kendrick Lamar called "Never Catch Me," but the pair also teamed up on an unreleased track called "Eyes Above." And while the studio version of the latter cut still hasn't emerged, we can now check out a version captured during a recent FlyLo set.
Recorded last night (November 13) at the North Park Theatre in San Diego, the fan-shot footage is quite shaky and obviously the audio leaves something to be desired, but it shows the beatmaker cuing up a track featuring a flurry of rhymes from King Kendrick. The rapper's flow is a lot more aggressive than on "Never Catch Me," as he snarls an angry flurry of fast rhymes over FlyLo's jittery, jazzy rhythms.
