This release is a time capsule throwdown of a point in history in Chicago when the whole art brut head bashing of the no wave scene was rearing its ugly head. Drummer/composer Weasel Walter managed to summon a frenzied assault from a band that included current jazz "stars Ken Vandermark and Jeb Bishop, as well as Cheer-Accidents Dylan Posa. On this recording Walter manages to get Vandermark and Bishop to deliver some of their best playing by setting them up against a wall of unremitting noise and having them sink or swim. Posas hysterically thin guitar and Chad Organs tenor/baritone sax blast augment the mayhem with some of the most extreme examples on "Demonic Velocities/20,000,000 Volts and "Coffee House In Flames. Destroy All Music manifests Walters "fuck you punk vision in all its anger and energy, combining it with startlingly uncompromising musicianship. It was the 90s, it couldnt last and it didnt. Buy it and youll know why.
