Every summer FME brings an array of musical entertainment to Rouyn-Noranda, QC, but this year, the festival is offering up a companion event to warm up the winter. Dubbed Quartiers d'hiver, the indoor, multi-venue festival is set to descend upon Rouyn-Noranda from March 10 to 12, and organizers have just unveiled the day-by-day list of performers.

Kicking off the weekend-long event on March 10 is an opening concert from Beyries and the Wainwright Sisters. For late-night festival attendees, there will also be a midnight set from Random Recipe.

March 11, meanwhile, boasts a special musical show from local improv favourites Les Volubiles. Maude Audet, Simon Kingsbury, Dumas, Organ Mood and Les Hôtesses d'Hilaire are also on the Friday evening bill.

Hip-hop acts will steal the spotlight on March 12, with Matthew James, Sans Pression and Loud Lary Ajust each scheduled to perform. For fans of heavier fare, there will also be sets from Evil Prevails and Obey the Brave, while pop-rock enthusiasts will also have the chance to see Plants and Animals and Suuns before groovy, avant-garde act Avec le soleil sortant de sa bouche take the stage.
