John Davis, former drummer for influential Washington, DC post-punk band Q And Not U, has unveiled his new project. Called Title Tracks, the band feature Davis front and center, singing and writing songs in a more upbeat vein. According to the Title Tracks MySpace page, the songs are inspired by Nick Lowe and the Buzzcocks, and one listen to the streaming demos confirms this, with some jangly pop.
Title Tracks also include former Loved Ones member Michael Cotterman on bass, as well as drummer Andrew Black and keyboardist Meredith Munoz. The band are currently preparing their debut release, a seven-inch for Dischord Records called Every Little Bit Hurts, which is expected to be released in April.
