Frank Ocean said that he wouldn't press charges against Chris Brown over their parking lot fight earlier this year, but apparently the same doesn't go for Frank's cousin, Sha'keir Duarte. He is suing Brown for for assault and battery and is seeking unspecified damages.
According to Duarte, he got beaten up by a bodyguard identified as "Hood," who apparently punched and kicked him numerous times in the head and body. Duarte says that Brown mocked him and encouraged the bodyguard. He says he was left with a concussion.
A representative for Brown has since told TMZ that the singer doesn't employ anyone named Hood. Brown's lawyer Mark Geragos told Billboard that they hope to have the suit dismissed and will countersue.
The fight took place back in January, when Brown and Ocean reportedly clashed over a parking space at an L.A. recording studio. Although reports surrounding the fight were somewhat murky, Ocean was generally viewed as the victim.
