Continuing on their conquest to release some of the more interesting, avant-garde metal currently being produced, The End Records hits a home run once again with the signing of the Norwegian quartet Frantic Bleep. With the band members raging in age from 19 to 25, these four musicians have surprisingly advanced chops and have made quite an impressive debut. Like a succinct mixture of the blackened experimental nature of their label-mates Arcturus, crossbred with the heavy atmospheric drones of Neurosis, these kids have outstanding musical chops and some really interesting, progressive songs that should make more adventurous black and gothic metal fans very happy indeed. A band to watch in the future, perhaps these guys will end up like Ulver, with a career thats become so much more than one could have ever guessed on initial inspection.
