Rapper Freddie Gibbs and producer Madlib have been making sweet music together as of late. Their latest collaboration is a track called "City," and demonstrates more of why these two performers were made for each other.
Here, Gibbs spits his busy rhymes over Madlib's inimitable, timeless beats, with guest Karriem Riggins factoring into things as well. The song is an ideal lead-in to what we can expect from their upcoming Piñata release (which formerly had the title of Cocaine Piñata).
"This is just a prelude to what me and Madlib are about to do with Piñata," Gibbs told Rolling Stone. "This Madlib album was made by drugs."
"City" comes as part of the Adult Swim Singles Series.
