Freddie Gibbs & Madlib

"Shame" (BADBADNOTGOOD remix)

BY Gregory AdamsPublished May 6, 2014

BADBADNOTGOOD serve up a number of jazzy experiments on their new III LP, but a bonus track also has the Toronto trio taking a crack at a number off of Freddie Gibbs and Madlib's Piñata. You can check out their "Shame" now.

Though they scribble out Madlib's soul-sampling backdrop, the new digs are just as head-bobbing. As Gibbs straight slams his way through lines more proprietary than romantic about his girl, BADBADNOTGOOD gel behind their remix cohort via slippery six-string tones, a deft bass bounce and hypnotic cymbal taps.

BADBADNOTGOOD's III was released today (May 6) through Innovative Leisure/Pirates Blend. You can stream the "Shame" remix down below or nab the track when you purchase III at Rappcats.
