In an effort to try out this British Invasion thing, UK new dance upstarts Friendly Fires and much-hyped countrymen White Lies are embarking on a North American tour.
Come March, the two bands will co-headline a series of NME-sponsored live dates, with recent Kemado signees the Soft Pack tagging along as openers.
In addition to the NME tour tie-in, the bands have several other live engagements scheduled in the coming months, with both White Lies and Friendly Fires performing at this year's Coachella festival, as well as all three touring Europe and being on deck for Austin's SXSW.
Friendly Fires also have the latest single from their self-titled full-length debut, "Skeleton Boy," due out March 2 via XL, while the Soft Pack plan to release their first proper album sometime later this year. White Lies, on the other hand, still have a pretty brutal Metacritic score to try to improve on.
Here are the bands' upcoming NME-presented tour dates:
3/24 Washington, DC - Black Cat
3/25 Philadelphia, PA - First Unitarian Church
3/26 New York, NY - Bowery Ballroom
3/27 New York, NY - Bowery Ballroom
3/30 Montreal, QC - Les Saints
3/31 Toronto, ON - Lee's Palace
4/1 Ann Arbor, MI - Blind Pig
4/2 Indianapolis, IN - Radio Radio
