After Frightened Rabbit released their album The Winter of Mixed Drinks in 2010, the band signed a major label deal with Atlantic Records. Now, the Scottish indie rock act have a number of projects on their plate, including an EP, full-length, tour and short film.
Not much is known about the new EP, but it's scheduled to arrive via Canvasback/Atlantic on September 25. The title and tracklist are still up in the air, but this will be followed by a new full-length, their fourth overall, which is due in early 2013.
The band will promote the EP with a tour of North America. Following some late-summer dates in the UK and Ireland, Frightened Rabbit will head to our shores in October for a coast-to-coast trip that includes a single Canadian show in Toronto. See the schedule below.
As for documentary, it's titled The Highlands Tour and is said to be "coming soon." In a blog update, the band described it as a "short film." Like the title suggests, it follows Frightened Rabbit on a tour of the Highlands in their homeland. The trek took place in the spring of this year. Scroll past the tour dates to watch a trailer.
