If you thought the only epic song Fucked Up had up their sleeves at the moment was the band's forthcoming "Year of the Snake," guess again. The stalwart Toronto sextet have just unveiled a hefty piece of patented experimental hardcore called "This Mother Forever."
The nearly 16-minute piece was unveiled today (September 29) through the act's official Bandcamp page, along with previously revealed Tanya Tagaq collaboration "Our Own Blood." The release of "This Mother Forever" had been foreshadowed by drummer Jonah Falco earlier in the year via a YouTube trailer.
The track presents a series of pleasing ambient guitar tones for the first five minutes or so before the band goes full out into punk mode. You can give "This Mother Forever" a listen and revisit "Our Own Blood" via the stream down below.
As previously reported, Fucked Up are due to deliver "Year of the Snake" sometime early next year through the Tankcrimes Inc imprint. It'll be the band's eighth entry in their long-running series of singles saluting the Chinese zodiac.
