Fugazi Offshoot the Messthetics Announce Sophomore Album

Hear the new song "Better Wings" from 'Anthropocosmic Nest'

After making their debut with a self-titled album last year, Fugazi offshoot the Messthetics have detailed a follow-up sophomore effort. 

Titled Anthropocosmic Nest, the trio's latest will arrive September 6 through Dischord. A first taste of the 11-track disc can be heard below with opener "Better Wings."

The Messthetics are set to kick off a North American tour this evening in Philadelphia and will play Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa later this month. You can find their complete itinerary below.

The Messthetics are made up of Fugazi's rhythm section, Joe Lally and Brendan Canty, in addition to jazz guitarist Anthony Pirog.
