Fuijya & Miyagi Replace Drum Machine With Human

British electro-Kraut act Fujiya & Miyagi have expanded from a trio to a four-piece, and as the press release tactfully puts it, "the drum machine has been replaced." The living, breathing drummer Lee Adams will now be pounding out those motorik beats in real-time, giving their soundman a needed rest from pressing play during the band’s live shows.

Also, Fujiya & Miyagi’s new stickman will soon get a chance to show off his stuff in the studio, as the band have reportedly set to work on their follow-up to 2006’s much-loved Transparent Things. So far the details on the new record are scarce, but the band have dropped word that we should expect it sometime this fall on Fujiya & Miyagi’s U.S. label Deaf Dumb & Blind, with a North American tour to follow.

In the meantime, Fujiya & Miyagi are filling this summer’s calendar days with several European festival dates, along with some in South America. Here they are:
