With the exception of a remix here and a Vancouver performance there, there was hardly a peep from NY art-rockers Gang Gang Dance for most of 2009. But 2010 promises to be more exciting.
This morning, the band announced their signing to iconic post-punk label 4AD, on which the band are planning to release their follow-up to 2008's Exclaim-recommended Saint Dymphnia. While details about the album are scarce, the band's press release notes that "a new album [is] due later on in 2010."
A tour will likely follow the album's release, but for now, the band have four shows on the horizon, none of which are in Canada.
Tour dates:
3/25 Baltimore, MD - Ottobar
3/26 Morgantown, West VA - 123 Pleasant St.
3/27 Knoxville, TN - Big Ears Festival
3/29 Charlottesville, VA - Southern
