Like their irreverent name, the fourth album from this Seattle-based collective is a cheeky shot at the music industry. And song titles like "Filthy Beasts and "We Can Remember It For You Wholesale make it clear that while they want to make a point, maybe they can do so and have a little fun at the same time. Hailing from the same city as, and in some cases having relatives in, such bands as the Blood Brothers and These Arms are Snakes brings with it some obvious musical elements. Like those bands, GAD take an unconventional approach to their song structures as well as their music. Utilising keyboards and odd time signatures in songs that rarely fit the typical verse/chorus/verse arrangements yet manage to be catchy and melodic as hell.
