Welcome to the era of Papa V Perpetua

Theatrical metal combo Ghost have announced their new album. Skeletá is out April 25 through Loma Vista Recordings, and the single "Satanized" is out now.

The album introduces the new frontman persona Papa V Perpetua, whose arrival was teased with a "V is Coming!" campaign.

A press release refers to Skeletá as Ghost's most "unflinchingly introspective work to date," with the outward-looking lyrics of past albums replaced by "a dialogue with oneself in a mirror." It's the follow-up to 2022's Impera.

Uniquely, the new video for "Satanized" comes with something Ghost are calling the "Satanizer," where fans can upload a photo of their face and appear in the video. Try out the Satanizer here, and check out the video for the song below.

Skeletá is available to pre-order here. The band will be going on tour in Europe and the US, but they don't have any Canadian shows just yet.
