Ghostface Killah Announces RZA-produced 'Twelve Reasons to Die'

There's still roughly a month to go before Ghostface Killah reps his Wu-Tang Clan on that Wu-Block collaboration with the dudes from D-Block, but the rap icon will be back on the solo tip by year's end. News has just come that Tony Starks's next LP is titled Twelve Reasons to Die, and it drops November 20 through fellow Wu affiliate RZA's new Soul Temple Records imprint.

The label tie is quite appropriate, as RZA also apparently served as the album's executive producer. A tracklisting has yet to appear, but the full-length is said to sport a soundtrack care of Adrian Younge, who scored the 2009 blaxploitation spoof Black Dynamite (his theme song also appears in the Adult Swim cartoon of the same name). Speculatively, considering Younge's affinity for deep soul and Ghost's penchant for pinching old-school samples, this could be a perfect tag team.

Pop culture blog Scottscope [via Hip Hop DX] managed to track down the covert art and a promotional poster for the project, which features an absurdly long-fingernailed Ghostfaced dude tormenting a young lady. Again, it's quite speculative at this point, but this could set the tone for the album and an adjoining comic book that will be published by Black Mask sometime in December.

In the meantime, Wu-Block drops October 9 through eOne.
