Gibby Haynes and His Problem

Gibby Haynes and His Problem

Talk about a schizophrenic record. The debut from Butthole Surfers front-man Gibby Haynes’ latest project is all over the place. Then again, we’d really expect nothing less from the freaky behemoth. The album opens with the alterna-rock drone of "Kaiser,” one of the few tracks that sounds something like the Buttholes, and follows it up with an unpredictable string of Jesus and Mary Chain-like warped rockers and Brian Wilson on acid (OK, more acid) surf pop ditties before closing with the chugging "Redneck Sex” (available separately as a Peaches remix as well).
