After winning over more than a few electro-savvy listeners with last years Beatbox and the near-classic After Dark comp, Glass Candy have lined up a pile of new goods for the now-disco-loving masses.
First up, the duos Ida No and Johnny Jewel have dropped word of a new rarities collection, titled Deep Gems. The 12-track disc comes boasting a pile of unreleased gems ten to be exact recorded between March 2006 and October 2008, as well as a new remix of "Miss Broadway and the 12-inch version of their much-loved "Geto Boys. Also, if youve been waiting to score Beatbox on wax, Glass Candy have finally pressed it up on vinyl and packaged it with a new seven-inch called Back to Back Midnight Classics, which boasts two new exclusive tracks: "High B and "The Gate.
Glass Candy are giving away Deep Gems at their Italians Do It Better CD release party this weekend in Portland, and presumably putting it for sale at their webshop and physical retailers shortly thereafter. As for the Beatbox vinyl edition, you can get that one here right now.
