Following up last year's acclaimed World Music LP, mysterious fusion group Goat have announced they'll be issuing a two-song 7-inch through Sub Pop. This will be the Swedish band's first-ever North American release.
A press release confirms that the double A-sided "Dreambuilding"/"Stonegoat" 7-inch arrives domestically June 4, though a limited 12-inch pressing is being delivered in Scandinavia tomorrow (April 20) on Stranded Records as part of Record Store Day, and on June 3 in the rest of Europe through Rocket Recordings.
You can stream the fuzzed-out, Afrobeat-flavoured "Dreambuilding" now over on Pitchfork.
The identities of the members of Goat are sort of under wraps, but the band's bio states that the collective hails from "a small and very remote village in deepest darkest Sweden" influenced musically and spiritually by the power of voodoo.
The band cross over into North America later this month, though unfortunately none of the dates are in Canada. Regardless, you can check out their tour schedule down below.
