After recently teasing the arrival of a new LP, French metal monsters Gojira have now confirmed a few details behind their first full-length release in four years. Titled Magma, the band's next album erupts out of speakers June 17 via Roadrunner.
The album title and street date were revealed today (April 13) in a teaser clip, which features a snippet of chug-centric riffing and chant-like vocals. This scores the sight of a steaming volcano.

As previously reported, Magma is the first full-length from the band since 2012's L'Enfant Sauvage. They had tracked the record at frontman Joseph Duplantier's Silver Cord Studio in Queens, NY. While they had initially planned on putting out a 12-song release, they've since trimmed it down to 10 songs. A tracklisting has yet to be made available.
"We want a short album," Duplantier had previously told Rolling Stone. "Something less epic than what we usually do. People's attentions are shorter now. So a lot of the songs are four minutes."
