Gold & Youth Announce 7-Inch and Premiere New Video, Gear Up for Tour with Diamond Rings

BY Alex HudsonPublished Oct 15, 2012

Since the Raccoons rebranded themselves as Gold & Youth, the Victoria, BC act have signed to Arts & Crafts and are currently gearing up for their debut full-length. In the meantime, the band are releasing a 7-inch and hitting the road.

The new double A-side single features the songs "Time to Kill" and "City of Quartz." It will be released digitally tomorrow (October 16), and the 7-inch will follow on November 27. For now, though, you can stream both tracks below.

"Time to Kill" was originally released earlier this year. As for "City of Quartz," it has now received its very own video, which you can see at the bottom of the page. It shows a dude skateboarding around the parking lot of what appears to be a bleak-looking motel before wiping out in the final moments

Fans will be able to pick up a vinyl version of the new single from the merch table when the band hit the road this fall in support of Diamond Rings. See the schedule.
