While they're no doubt supportive of the whole thing, Beth Ditto won't let her bandmates in the Gossip stand in the way of her controlling her own career. While outside her full-time gig the singer has tried her hand at fashion design, Ditto apparently now also wants to tackle a solo singing career as well.
NME reports that the frontwoman teamed up with British dance outfit Simian Mobile Disco to produce a new solo EP, which will be released sometime in January. This won't be the first time the artists have worked together. Ditto previously sung on "Cruel Intentions," from the English group's 2009 set Temporary Pleasure.
Neither a full tracklisting nor a firm release date has appeared, but Ditto's solo effort will feature four new songs and will be released as both a twelve-inch single and a digital download.
