Here's a great Christmas idea for the '90s indie rock fan in your family: Grandaddy reissues! This December, the fallen Californian rockers will reissue their first three studio albums on vinyl via the Control Group.
That means, in addition to 2000's The Sophtware Slump and 2003's Sumday, the band's 1997 studio debut, Under the Western Freeway, will be available on vinyl in North America for the first time ever. Sumday will be a double vinyl release.
The Control Group will offer all three reissues on December 14. Pre-orders are not available just yet, but keep an eye on the label's online store in the coming weeks.
Grandaddy called it quits in 2006. Since then, frontman Jason Lytle has launched a solo career, as well as started Admiral Radley with fellow Grandaddy member Aaron Burtch and the folks from Earlimart.
