"Don't Leave Me Hanging" (video)

Canadian folk favourites Great Lake Swimmers are set to return with a new full-length titled A Forest of Arms this spring, and in anticipation of the record's release, the band have offered up some visuals for "Don't Leave Me Hanging."

The new album was influenced by Tony Dekker's experiences with the World Wildlife Fund, with the BP oil spill and Northern Gateway Pipeline controversy serving as major inspirations. Some of the tracks — including "Don't Leave Me Hanging" — were recorded in Ontario's Tyendinaga Cavern and Caves, so it makes sense that the song's accompanying visuals show off the caves' staggering beauty.

According to Dekker, "The environment became another element or sound layer to the recordings, almost like another member of the band." Watch him and his acoustic guitar interact with the unique, cavernous setting in the video for "Don't Leave Me Hanging" below.

A Forest of Arms is out on April 21 via Nettwerk.
